The Enrollment

Summary

Gov. Bradford has issued a proclamation announcing the preliminaries for the enrollment for the draft. Baltimore and the counties in the state have been divided into Enrollment Districts, each with an enrolling officer. The enrolling of those liable to military duty under the draft is expected to commence in Frederick County today. Quota of Maryland, as designated by the Secretary of War, is 8,582.
