A False Alarm

Summary

Two companies from “Cole’s Mounted Rangers” searched in the vicinity of Urbana after rumors led them to believe some 300 Confederates had crossed the Potomac and were raiding thereabouts; the rangers were unable to affirm the presence of any raiders this side of the Potomac.
