Emancipationists and Copperheads

Summary

In response to a message sent from the editor of the Maryland Union, the Frederick Examiner refutes their attempt at driving a wedge between Unconditional Union Party members at the upcoming county convention over an obfuscation of the difference between an “Emancipationist “ and an “Abolitionist,” with the author noting that the latter prefer federal action in violation of states’ rights.
