William D. McGill
Summary
William D. McGill, son of Dr. McGill of Hagerstown, was caught by Union scouts in PA, claiming that he was a member of the 1st MD Cavalry, but he was recognized as one of McCausland's rebels who burned Chambersburg, PA. 3 men from the 6th NC Regt. who deserted near Harrisburg, have been jailed there.
