ACKNOWLEDGEMENT. – Mrs. J. A. Hantz, President of the Ladies’ Union Relief Association, acknowledges the receipt of the following articles, during the last fortnight for the aid and comfort of the Sick and Wounded soldiers in the U. S. A. General Hospital: - $1 cash, Mrs. Eldridge; 6 doz. Eggs and 1 jug of milk, Mrs. J. Cronise; bread, biscuits and butter custard and 1 pr. Yarn socks, Mrs. A. M. Bantz; 1 jug of milk and corn meal, Mrs. Dr. Worman; 3 lb. butter, 5 doz. Eggs, Mrs. Isaac Cronin; 4 lb. butter, Mrs. Joseph Cronin; 6 chickens, 4 doz. eggs, biscuits, rusks, and butter, Mrs. Russel; currant, jelly, 2 bottles of wine and one of cream, rusks, biscuits, jelly and dried beef, Mechanicstown; $5 cash from Mr. Specht; 1 jar peach butter, 1 glass jelly, 6 ½ doz. eggs, and dried peaches, Mrs. T. Giller; 1 basket biscuits, Mrs. Boggher[?]; Rolls, butter and custard, Mrs. A. F. Brengle; 2 doz. eggs, Mrs. Schultz; biscuits jelly, dried fruit and 2 cushions, Miss Danner $2.00 cash balance left in _ of the Secretary of the dues of July celebration, 8 __ buckets and a lot of ___ __ cups.
