Transcript
“Our Ticket”
Messrs. Schley, Keefer & Co. – It is high time the Maryland Union has foisted and struck from its head the American Flag. – This sailing under false colors in these times of Treason and Rebellion looks rather piratical. The Editor should be made to show his own bunting the “red, white and red.” The idea of hoisting the “Stars and Stripes” over the heads of such men as compose the self-nominated Secession ticket is a piece of bold impudence, that should be severely rebuked. Tolerate such treasonable sheets and we shall have over again the disgraceful scene that dishonored Maryland on the 19th of April 1861. VETERAN.
