Summary
The Examiner encourages the Unionists of Frederick county to "hold yourself in readiness" for the upcoming election. The new state constitution [emancipating slaves] was barely adopted and thus lost some of its moral influence. Union voters should go to the polls on November 8th and assure a resounding victory for Lincoln and Johnson, leaving no doubt about where Maryland stands and atoning for the very small margin of victory in the vote on the constitution.
