Letter from Thomas Hammond to the Banner of Liberty acknowledging nomination for the House of Delegates by the Unconditional Union Party and saying he declines the nomination by the group which met at the office of the Maryland Union and nominated him for the same position. He says he is a member of the Union Party and is in honor bound to support its nominees.
