Summary
At the "Conservative" Party's mass meeting on Saturday last (consisting of about 16 men) a slate of nominees for various elected positions was chosen, but some of the men were already on the slate of the Unconditional Union Party and have declared they will not be on the "Conservative" ticket. It is expected that others who were nominated "in that humbug assemblage" will decline the "empty offer." [from Liberty Banner]
