Summary
The editor of the Maryland Union is the Copperhead candidate for Register of Wills and thus the opponent of the nominee of the Unconditional Union Party. Some friends of Union Party nominees for the Register of Wills were disgruntled when their candidates were not chosen as the official Unconditional Union Party nominee. It appears that the editor of the Maryland Union is trying to play upon the dissatisfaction in the hopes he will be elected to that office.
