Took Down His Name

Summary

The Frederick Examiner chides the Maryland Union paper for its mistake in thinking that Hon. Francis Thomas, the nominee of the Unconditional Union Party for Congress, was a Copperhead. Thomas is an Abolitionist. The Union says it is removing its support for Thomas. Mr. Maffitt, the Conservative Union Party candidate for Comptroller, turns out to be an Abolitionist. Will the Union also renounce its support of Maffitt? "Come, gentlemen, hurry up," says the Examiner and figure out to whom you will give your support.
