Summary
Official report of the total number of soldiers in the U.S.A. General Hospital in Frederick for the week ending August 9th. There were 812 men in the hospital. 116 were returned to duty, 14 were discharged, 1 was furloughed, 2 died and 1 deserted. The dead were: Private Loudon (sp.?) Parsons, Co. B., 3rd DE Volunteers and Private Amana (sp.?) Lapham, Co. E, 55th Ohio Vols. Both died of typhoid.
