Summary
Official report of the total number of soldiers in the U.S.A. General Hospital in Frederick City for the week ending August 23rd. Total in the hospital were 746. 201 were returned to duty; 5 were discharged, 1 deserted and 3 died. The dead were: Private John Seyfert, Co. C, 109 PA Vols.; Private Percival Hill, Co. B, 5th Reg't. Conn. Volunteers; and Wm. Plummer, a recruit of Lt. B. T. Winchester, Co. ?, 8th Reg't MD Vols.
