2092 Men Wanted

Summary

Notice: Order by Governor Bradford for men to create the 4th and 6th MD regiments consisting of 83 men per company. Each company to have 1 Capt.; 2 lieuts.; 5 sergts.; 8 corporals, 2 musicians, 1 wagoner and 64 privates. Service for a term of 3 years or during the war. Men from ages 18 to 45 are eligible. Will meet near Relay House at a camp to be known as Camp Bradford for drill. Pay, rations, bounty land. Extra pay and $100 when discharged. Recruits accepted from all parts of the state. Transportation provided free on application. Notice signed by Col. Wm. Louis Schley, 5th Regiment MD Volunteers.
