Deserters
Summary
A group of 30-40 men thought to be rebel deserters passed through Ringgold en route to Gettysburg. They appeared "wretchedly clad." It was later learned they were 25 men who are refugees from Rockingham Co., VA and more people are on the way. [from Waynesboro Record]
