Death of a Soldier
Summary
Corporal Edward Keplinger, a member of Co. F, 1st Regiment, POTOMAC HOME BRIGADE, died of a protracted illness at the residence of Abraham G. Mumma of Hagerstown. He had been in the Gettysburg battle and just entered his 21st year. His remains were accompanied to his burial place by members of the 18th Connecticut Volunteers now on provost duty in Hagerstown.
