The Sick and Wounded Soldiers

Summary

A letter from "M" to the editors and readers expresses a need for the citizens of Washington County to help care for the large number of sick and wounded soldiers that have arrived. People are urged to give money or whatever they can through churches or elsewhere. The writer pleads that the appetites of sick and wounded soldiers sometimes need a variety of dishes. The people of Maryland are urged to extend the same hospitality to soldiers here as they would hope was offered to their brethren in other parts of the country where they may be fighting.
