Union Primary Meeting and County Convention
Summary
Announcement by the Union Central Committee that primary meetings should be held in the various districts of the county on Sept. 19th to choose 10 men from each district to attend the County Convention at the Court House in Hagerstown on Oct. 3. Candidates are to be chosen for Clerk of the Circuit Court, Register of Wills, Surveyor, etc. The District meetings are the "source of all political power in our county" and allow all voters to express their opinions if the meetings are well and properly attended.
