Arrested Again
Summary
John Oates, a Frederick man who keeps a groggery at the east end of 2nd Street, was arrested for the third time for selling liquor to soldiers and placed in the Guard House by Maj. Vredenburgh. Barrels of whiskey, gin and wine were removed from Oates' establishment. Selling of liquor to soldiers leads to disorder and discipline problems.
