Col. Redden, 3rd DE Regt., in command at Frederick, replacing Col. Allen, 1st ME Cavalry. Capt. Haughey replaced Capt. C. H. Smith as Provost Marshal. Both regiments suffered heavy losses at Bull Run, South Mountain and Antietam.
