The recent “copperhead Mass Meeting” held in Frederick drew only 300 attendees. For senator, John B. Thomas of Buckeystown was nominated. For House of Delegates, the nominees were Thomas Hammond of Liberty; Geo. Saylor of Woodsboro; Henry Culler of Frederick; Daniel Main of Jefferson; James. T. Motter of Emmitsburg; and David Thomas of Urbana.
