Wounded Soldiers
Summary
In a recent battle near Spotsylvania, VA, the following local soldiers from the Maryland Brigade suffered wounds: Corp. D. Richard Coblentz, Co. E, 7th MD; Corp. John H. Rice, Co. G, 7th MD; and Benjamin F. Power, Co. G, 7th MD. In another engagement, the 1st MD regiment was returning from furlough when they were attached by the Confederates. Hiram Smith and James Biser of the region were among the wounded.
