Two Soldiers Killed and One Fatally Wounded
Summary
The Hagerstown Herald reports that two soldiers were killed and one mortally wounded in a confrontation that occurred west of Clearspring. The three were from a Western Virginia regiment and, under the influence of liquor, insulted a family and threatened to commit property damage. A son of Mr. Mills, a Union soldier, shot the three men.
