Attention Volunteers!

Summary

Encouraging Frederick Co. volunteers to enlist now to receive $100 "cash down" and avoid the coming militia draft.

Transcript

Remember, Frederick County pays One Hundred dollars, for every volunteer, enlisting prior to the 1st day of September, upon being mustered into service. No part payment now, and the balance in installments, but the cash down. Volunteers in this county thus have greater advantages than in any other part of the State. There is now no doubt that Maryland’s quota of Volunteers will be filled at an early day, and as the period of enlistment is about, the only thing volunteers have to guard against is Delay which may shut them out and ___ them of the Militia Draft. Delays are always dangerous.
