Damage To The Harper's Ferry

Summary

Potomac freshet washed away three of the central spans of the temporary bridge at Harpers Ferry; all hands put to work to repair the damage. Soon work on the new iron bridge over the Ferry is to commence, work on which bridge has been underway for the past 6 months at Mount Clare.
